1885 Dr. Joseph Pacetti returns to Northeast Florida with his wife, Amelia Ponce de Leon-Morales. He and his wife purchase real estate in the Jacksonville area.

1894 The widowed Amelia Pacetti begins managing the Jacksonville real estate holdings.
1901 Great Fire of Jacksonville.
1908 Amelia’s son-in-law, John Higbee, takes over management of her real estate holdings, operating from a desk in Burbridge Real Estate and Rental Agency.
1918 John Higbee enters into partnership with Ben Burbridge, forming Burbridge and Higbee at 343 West Forsyth St, Jacksonville, FL. World War I ends.
1929 Great Depression begins. Burbridge and Higbee continues to thrive.
1945 After John Higbee Jr returns from serving his country in WWII, he and his father, John Higbee, enter into partnership with Russell Foland and his son, Russell Foland, Jr., forming Foland and Higbee at 347 West Forsyth St, Jacksonville, FL.
1968 John Higbee III enters into Foland and Higbee. The company further expands and moves to its present location at 133 East Bay St, Jacksonville, FL.
1991 Jay Higbee joins Foland and Higbee and soon rises to take over management.
2001 Under Jay Higbee’s guidance, Foland and Higbee expands and purchases a primary competitor, I. Beverly Nalle.
2019 Also under Jay’s guidance, Foland and Higbee begins managing the Burbridge family’s holdings and assimilates the Burbridge company under the auspices of Foland and Higbee.
Today Jay Higbee continues to run the company. He is assisted by his daughter, Lindsay Alzarooni, and her sister-in-law, Jada Bowen, continuing the family tradition.
